Model Village

As per Panchayat Raj Act 5 of 2018 Section 52 (C)

Gram Panchayat shall strive to transform the village into a model village and shall accordingly prepare a perspective plan for the Gram Panchayat.

A model village is defined as one having :

(a) Clean and green surroundings;

(b) Burial ground and crematorium;

(d) Toilets to every household and no open defecation;

(e) Well maintained vegetable market;

(f) Sports ground;

Clean & Green Village

Tajpur Grama panchayat is well known for its cleanliness and greenary. It has abundant greenary with well maintained nursery and Avenue plantaion on road sides with clean and sanitized roads.
